Before my mission, I tried to imagine what the Missionary Training Center (the CCM or Centro de Capacitación Misional) would be like, but, until actually being here, I could not really understand. I feel so close to my Heavenly Father and my Savior. I want to be an instrument in the hands of my beloved Heavenly Father and teach by the power of His spirit. The CCM experience has taught me to listen to the whisperings of the Spirit.

It is incredible how much our testimonies grow here, how we smile all day long, how hard we try to do what is right and how hard we work to learn the doctrines so we can teach correct principles. The CCM is home. It is school. It is a refuge from the world. Here I feel close to my Heavenly Father and able to worship freely without thought of time or place. I try to learn all I can every minute, never thinking of what day of the week or month it is, only thinking how much I want to serve Him with all my heart, mind, and strength.

Every human being is my brother or sister. Heavenly Father wants each one to return to His presence. With all my heart I want to help them remember that, before coming to earth, they raised their hands in support of His plan, that He has, indeed, established His church on the earth, and that all the principles and ordinances necessary for them to be exalted and live together with their families forever are available. I want others to have the joy I have by knowing that, no matter the difficulties that confront me, God is by my side and I will return to His arms and feel His infinite love if I obey.

To the youth preparing for missions, I say, devote your lives to God and all else will be added unto you. Christ paid for our sins. We can express our gratitude by serving our missions. Remember, He needs more soldiers. go forth with courage.
